TRAVELLING TRENDS IN 2023: WHAT IS NEW? WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND PLACES YOU CAN VISIT!

So you want to travel in 2023 to compensate for all the months confined to the 4 walls of your house?

We believe any task can become easier and simpler if you have some help in doing it. Here at Crosstrip, we believe in being your partner from the first stages of your vacation planning till the very end. Especially now, in the uncertain world of post Coronavirus, where rules and regulations change daily and countries open and close their borders too often. It might be overwhelming to navigate through these uncertain waters. But no worries, we are here to help!

Here is all you need to know in brief about travel and tourism trends in 2023:

Can you travel in 2023?

This will be an important factor many governments will depend upon as a deciding factor for allowing international tourists into their country. In India Coronavirus vaccination drives are starting from January 16. Three crore individuals will be in phase 1, prioritizing frontline workers for the vaccine. The 2nd phase will give priority to co-morbidities.

In India, there will be 2 vaccines under circulation: Covishield and Covaxin. The former is being developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca. The latter by Bharat biotech.

India is estimated to achieve herd immunity by February 2023. Herd immunity is achieved when a sufficient part of the population has become immune to an infection, reducing the threat of individuals without immunity getting affected. Meaning comparative normalcy may be achieved in 2 years.

Even if you are confused about getting vaccinated and how it will impact your vacation, rest assured because these trends of 2023 will positively impact your travel plans.

Travel in 2023: things to know

The world is changing and so is the traveling business. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is launching the Travel Pass initiative in the first quarter of 2023 as an app you can download on Android and Iphone. How will it help?

The IATA Travel Pass will :

– Provide accurate information on testing and vaccine requirements for your journey

– Find testing centers and labs at departure that meet the standards of requirements of your destination

– Allow authorized lab and test centers to send test results and vaccination certificates securely to you

This will help create a ‘digital health passport’ that can verify your test results and vaccine certification that meets the requirements and share them with the authorities to make your travel simpler and smoother. For more information click here.

Also to note is CommonPass, a similar travel health app, has had a successful trial run from London Heathrow to Newark ensuring safe travel. United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) observed the trials in Newark Airport. Travel bubbles are an emerging trend and a dream come true for travelers. What is it? It is an arrangement between two countries to allow people to travel, in some cases, not requiring mandatory quarantine. India has signed agreements with many countries and is in the process of signing with many more. What does this mean for you? You can start packing your bags now because some major tourist destinations are now open for exploring!
